Rimuovere i file dei Service Pack di Windows

Questo interessante articolo (Clean up Winsxs on Windows 2008 R2 after SP1 install) descrive come ripulire il vostro sistema dai Service Pack che normalmente lasciano vari file per la disinstallazione, rendendo il sistema più “grosso” del previsto (rispetto ad esempio un sistema Windows installato già con il SP incluso).

Il comando che “compatta” i file è:

DISM.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /spsuperseded

Alcuni interessanti switch di DISM.exe sono:

Optionally you could use the /hidesp option which will remove SP1 (KB976932) from the “Installed Updates” section of Programs and Features, to ensure that users do not try to uninstall the Service Pack.
