Windows Server 2016 Technical Preview 4
- Nano Server: now supports the DNS Server and IIS server roles, as well as MPIO, VMM, SCOM, DSC push mode, DCB, Windows Server Installer, and the WMI provider for Windows Update. Its Recovery Console supports editing and repairing the network configuration. A Windows PowerShell module is now available to simplify building Nano Server images.
- Windows Server Containers: are an isolated, resource-controlled, and portable operating environment. They are an isolated place where an application can run without affecting the rest of the system or the system affecting the application. For some additional information on containers, see Containers: Docker, Windows and Trends.
- Nested virtualization: this kernel is mainly the TH2 version of Windows 10 kernel, so it support also the nested virtualization, but with the same limit of the client version.
